Our regulator
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is the designated agency to which the government has given responsibility for the regulation of the financial services industry: its objectives are the education and protection of retail consumers and maintaining efficient and clean financial markets. The FSA's powers have been granted under the Financial Services Markets Act 2000 and it is now the sole regulator for our sector.
